For many years it has been our dream and it is now our goal to promote art and talented artists.
With the advent of dollar stores and imports from China, many North American artists are concerned that Fine Art will lose even more status. By presenting this virtual gallery, along with many educational art links and quizzes, we believe we can help bring knowledge and pleasure not only to art afficionados, but also to the general public.
Who are we?
The principals are: Duke Duyck and Patricia Lazar. We have both been highly trained in Fine Art as well as Commercial Art.
Duke studied Commercial Art in Holland, and worked in Advertising for several years. He is highly-skilled as a Webmaster and a Marketing/Consulting Analyst.
Patricia studied with Arthur Lismer, one of the renowned Canadian Group of Seven, at the Montreal Museum School of Fine Arts. She also participated in many specialty workshops with advanced, well-known artists, in Montreal, Toronto and Israel, where she lived and worked for several years. Patricia has taught both adults and children in very prestigious schools. She has exhibited widely, as well as serving as a judge on juried shows. She has worked in many media, but concentrates and is known for mainly Pottery (especially Teapots) and acrylic paintings on canvas.
